Ba Na Mountain and Cable Car

Time needed: Half day

The cable car, which runs from the foot of Ba Na mountain to the peak of neighbouring Vong Nguyet Mountain has a length of just over 5 kilometres and height different between upper and lower stations of 1,291 metres. As a result the Ba Na cable car is the world’s longest and highest continuous cable car.

Located 38 kilometres from the centre of Danang, Ba Na mountain features a world record breaking cable car and spectacular views across the central region.

The newly constructed departure station has entertainment facilities and a showroom of photos and objects from Ba Na mountain’s past and present.

At the summit of Vong Nguyet mountain is one of the largest sitting Buddha’s in the world. There are also several restaurants and a wine bar. There is currently one hotel with another larger hotel due to be opened in the new year. There are also several pagodas and holy sites and statues to observe as well.

During the 15 minute ride and from the top of the mountain are beautiful vistas of Danang city and its spectacular coastline. During the ride you will experience the rugged mountainside views, with streams and waterfalls dotted across the mountain.

Entry which includes a return cable car ride, is approximately 120,000VND per ticket for adults and 60,000VND for children.

How to get there:

We recommend hiring a taxi or a private car through your hotel. Both will wait for you while you take the cable car and walk around the top of the mountain.
