Located approximately 1.5 kms from Danang’s famous My Khe (China) beach, Long Map Quan's specialty is fresh seafood. On offer are shrimp, fish, sea snails, crabs, clams and squid served in a variety of ways. Live seafood is on display in tanks and cases and after making your choices, is weighed and prepared for you. Prices vary depending upon type of seafood and the weight of your purchases.

Two menu highlights are the giant grilled shrimp served with a choice of sauces such as mayonnaise, chilli and a delicious mixture of salt, pepper and fresh lemon juice. The other highlight is the ribbon fish. Resembling a cross between an eel and a swordfish, it has delicious tasting white flesh without an overwhelming fishy flavour. It is served grilled with chilli, ginger and lemongrass and is most delicious when eaten wrapped in fresh lettuce leaves and dipped in mayonnaise.

Rice and vegetable side dishes are also available, however the real highlight is the deliciously fresh and well prepared seafood. The soup of leafy green vegetables and crab meat is also an excellent choice.

Seating is in the popular Vietnamese style of small plastic chairs around tables. There is a covered area in case of rain, but Long Map’s is largely open air, which gives diners the chance to take in the sights and sounds of the restaurant.

We recommend arriving early for the widest selection of seafood and to ensure the ribbon fish are in stock. Dinner tends to start from around 5pm in the afternoon and the restaurant gets very popular during the evening in summer.

Long Map’s offers the usual selection of beers – local varieties such as Tiger, Larue, Saigon and imports such as Heineken and San Miguel served by beer company sponsored waitresses. Soft drinks are also available.
