There are plenty of excellent restaurants in Danang. Often overlooked, due to the popularity of Hue’s cuisine (3 hours to the north), its location in the middle of the country, means that there are dishes from all over Vietnam on offer in Danang. The extensive coastline also means that there is always excellent fresh seafood available.
Dining opportunities range from up-scale restaurants to street food stalls and eating from tables and chairs directly on the sand. Based on the experiences of an Australian, who lived in Danang for 12 months, here are the details of some of the most interesting and delicious places to eat and drink in Danang city.
There are a variety of options including seafood, Western and Indian options. Most restaurants will cater to vegetarians with several non-meat dishes on the menu. It’s important to remember that most restaurants do not accept credit cards, so to be safe it is best to take Vietnamese dong (VND) as it is accepted everywhere. US dollars may also work but VND is accepted far more widely.
