Popular with locals and tourists alike, the Tulip Czech Beer Restaurant, is always a good choice for a meal and some excellent beer. The large English language menu offers Vietnamese, Korean, Malaysia, European and Vietnamese dishes at very reasonable prices. There is also an open kitchen where you can watch your meals being prepared.
The vast majority of the menu offers beef, chicken, pork and seafood dishes, but for the more adventurous there is also pigeon and water turtle (a Vietnamese delicacy). Entrees range in price from 12,000 to 40,000VND and include options such as spring rolls, salads and the delicious German sausage. The grilled pork, spicy beef and spicy chicken wings also hit the spot.
There are a number of specialties on the menu, such as grilled chicken on stone, cauliflower salad and a selection of mixed cold cuts. Specialties range in price from 17,000 to 50,000VND and all are worth a try.
The real standout (and what Tulip is known for) is it’s tasty and affordable beer. Light and dark varieties are brewed on site in Tulip’s micro-brewery which can be viewed from the restaurant. Servings range in size from:
- 0.3L (12,000VND for light and 14,000VND for dark)
- 0.5L (20,000VND for light and 24,000VND for dark)
- 1L steins (40,000VND for light and 46,000VND for dark)
The Tulip has a lively atmosphere with 2 levels of open plan dining at wooden tables and chairs, with air-conditioned seating for over 500 people. A VIP room is also available and plenty of helpful English speaking staff are on hand.
Tulip accepts reservations and is open 7 days a week from 8am to 10pm.
